Gelenitis pounded out 49 kills (3.3 per set) in a 3-1 week for Elmira, hitting .279 with 11 digs, seven service aces, and 12 blocks. He recorded 13 kills and hit .524 in the Soaring Eagles’ sweep of Southern Vermont and followed that with a 16-kill effort and a .400 hitting percentage against Philadelphia Biblical. Gelenitis totaled 15 kills, four service aces, and six total blocks in a five-set Elmira victory over Emmanuel.
