Senior outside hitter David Evans helped Stevens Institute of Technology to a perfect 3-0 week, as the Ducks flexed their muscle through the early stages of the season, earning wins over No. 1 Juniata and No. 8 Rivier. Evans played seven of the team's nine sets on the week, leading Stevens with 27 kills, a hitting percentage of .385, and averaging 3.86 kills per set. The veteran standout also added seven service in addition to notching seven digs and five block assists. After recording four kills in one set in a 3-0 sweep of Lasell, Evans had 11 and 12 kills against Juniata and Rivier, pocketing all seven of his aces against two top-10 squads.
