Junior middle hitter Phil Bueno helped lead No. 10 nationally ranked NYU to a pair of UVC victories on Sunday. Bueno notched 20 total blocks in two matches, including an 11-block effort, all assisted, in a 3-1 win over No. 14 Elmira College on Elmira's home court. His 11 total blocks are the second-most assisted blocks in one match in NYU's rally-scoring era and fourth-most in NYU's rally-scoring history. He also added five kills, two service aces and a dig against the Soaring Eagles. Bueno followed that up with nine total blocks, two digs and two kills during NYU's 3-1 win over Vassar, avenging a loss to the Brewers earlier this season. With the wins, NYU improves to 5-2 on the year and 2-0 in UVC play.
