Freshman middle blocker Chase Corbett helped lead No. 9 NYU to a 3-1 record over the weekend. The rookie middle hitter made his collegiate debut in a 3-0 win over Hilbert on Saturday morning, finishing with nine kills (9-1-10) for a hitting percentage of .800. Corbett also chipped in on the defensive side, adding five blocks and two digs. He followed that up with six kills, three service aces, and three assisted blocks as the Violets bested D'Youville 3-1 later on Saturday. Then, in a tough 3-1 loss to No. 8 Carthage, Corbett logged four kills, one dig and one assisted block during his one set. The rookie finished the weekend strong with nine kills and five blocks in NYU's 3-1 win over Medaille.
