Freshman outside hitter Jorge Rivera had standout week offensively for the Brewers, helping Vassar to a 3-0 record with wins over Bard, Sage and York (NY). Rivera finished with 28 kills on just 39 attempts for the week, averaging 4.00 kills per set while hitting a very strong .615 for the week. Rivera also posted three service aces on the week. Against Bard, Rivera hit .727 in two sets, helping the Brewers to a home UVC win. Saturday, he chalked up 13 kills against Sage, hitting .455, and followed that up with a perfect 6-for-6 outing against York, finishing all of his attacking attempts. Rivera is second on the team in kills with 243 for the season.
