Mike Ellison led Elmira with 66 kills and 77.5 points as the No. 9-ranked Soaring Eagles posted a 3-1 record over the weekend at the Golden Flyer Invitational. He finished with 4.12 kills per set on a 66k-17e-120ta stat line (.408). He also made 20 digs, seven blocks, and served up seven aces. In Elmira's final match at the invite, Ellison logged a career-high 27 kills against D'Youville, which was his second 20-kill effort of the weekend. For his efforts, Ellison was named to the Golden Flyer Invitational All-Tournament Team.
