Matthew Knigge had a monster weekend to guide the Brewers to a perfect 4-0 showing at their home invitational. Knigge hit .533 on a 38k-6e-60ta stat line for a 2.71 kills per set average. The junior middle hitter logged no fewer than eight kills in each of Vassar’s wins, including a 13-kill performance in the team’s four-set victory over Stevenson. Knigge also produced seven service aces, as well as a team-leading 23 blocks (1.64 blocks per set). He registered at least four blocks in each match, including an eight-block performance against Ramapo, a mark that tied his previous season high.
