Matthew Knigge picked up his second UVC Player of the Week accolade after guiding Vassar to a trio of wins last week, including victories over No. 11 Marymount in five sets and No. 15 Juniata in three. The junior middle hitter averaged 3.55 kills per set while hitting .500 (39k-7e-64ta) for the week. He also racked up 17 blocks in the three matches for a per set average of 1.55. Knigge produced a career-high 20 kills in Vassar’s five-set win over Marymount and finished with nine blocks, just one shy of tying his season-high mark. He followed that up with eight kills against Juniata and another double-digit kill performance against Arcadia with 11 kills.
