After leading the Violets to their first-ever United Volleyball Conference (UVC) tournament title, Evan Lindley has been named the final recipient of the UVC Player of the Week. Lindley, who became the first freshman to be named the UVC Tournament’s Most Valuable Player, averaged 22.0 kills and logged a .369 attack percentage in NYU’s two wins. The rookie posted a double-double in a five-set victory over Stevens Institute of Technology in the semifinal round with a career-high 25 kills and 11 digs. He followed that performance with a match-high 19 kills, five digs, three service aces and two blocks in the championship game against New Paltz.
