Kim was named Most Valuable Player of the 2023 UVC Championship after leading top-ranked Vassar to its second league title in the last three seasons. Kim dished out 78 assists in just six sets (13.0 assists per set) to go along with eight digs, five blocks and four kills in wins over No. 15 MIT and No. 10 St. John Fisher. He opened the weekend by dishing out 37 assists in the win over MIT before adding 41 more assists, five digs, three blocks and a pair of kills in the three-set championship match victory over St. John Fisher. Kim’s passing was a major reason why Vassar, who entered the weekend with the best hitting percentage in Division III, hit a combined .401 in the two matches, including .476 in the championship against the Cardinals.
