Kim led Hobart to a huge 2-1 weekend, defeating No. 16 Misericordia in three sets and No. 18 Baldwin Wallace in four sets for Hobart's first ranked wins in program history. The Statesmen dropped its final matchup of the weekend to No. 1 Wentworth in three hard-fought sets (26-24, 25-14, 29-27) to close out the Statesmen Volleyball Classic. Through three matches, Kim averaged 6.10 kills per set, while hitting .361, 2.20 digs per set, 0.70 blocks per set, 0.70 assists per set and 6.60 points per set as he totaled 61 kills, 22 digs, seven blocks and seven assists. In Friday's matchup with the 18th ranked Yellow Jackets, Kim exploded for 27 kills (.455) and 13 digs for his first double-double of the season. He currently leads the nation in kills per set (5.85), and points per set (6.62). Kim also sits top-10 in the UVC in hitting percentage (.393). It is Kim’s third UVC weekly accolade of the season.
