Kim led the tenth-ranked Hobart volleyball team to a 4-0 weekend to start the season at the SUNY Poly Invite. The Statesmen collected two ranked wins as they swept No. 19 Lasell and beat No. 14 Misericordia in five sets. Kim had a huge weekend, recording 75 kills, 19 digs, 12 service aces, six blocks and five assists. He averaged an impressive 5.36 kills per set, .481 hitting percentage, 1.36 digs per set, 0.86 aces per set and 6.46 points per set. In the season-opening sweep against SUNY Poly, Kim served up a career-high seven aces to lead the Statesmen to victory. His best performance of the weekend came against No. 19 Lasell as he put down 24 kills (.489) and added seven digs, one ace and one block. Kim then led Hobart to its second-straight ranked win with 21 kills (.395), four digs and three aces against No. 14 Misericordia.
