Nguyen averaged 11.3 assists and 2.0 digs per set in leading NYU to three wins on the week, as the No. 1 Violets improved to 22-0 on the season. The Violets defeated Kean and UVC foes Nazareth and No. 12 St. John Fisher to clinch at least a share of the UVC regular season crown, while hitting .329 in the three matches. On Tuesday, Nguyen recorded 31 assists and seven digs in a three-set sweep of Kean. Saturday, Nguyen recorded his third match of at least 50 assists on the season, dishing out 51 to go along with two service aces in a four-set win at St. John Fisher. He completed the week with 31 assists, nine digs and three blocks in a sweep of Nazareth. It is Nguyen’s third UVC weekly honor of the season.
