United Volleyball Conference Players of the Week – January 20, 2025

Below are the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Players of the Week, released on January 20, 2025, for matches played from January 13-January 19. It is the second UVC weekly honors release of the 2025 season.
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Grant Oh, MIT, Sr., OH, Irvine, CA/Orange Lutheran
Oh capped a 2-0 weekend for the Engineers with 30 kills, 11 digs, seven service aces and four blocks, while recording a tremendous .651 hitting percentage. He began the year with 14 kills and six service aces, while hitting .619 in a three-set win over American International College. Later in the day on Saturday, Oh hit .681vwith 16 kills, eight digs and three assisted blocks in a four-set win over Emmanuel College. 
 
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lucas Osiecki, NYU, Sr., OH, Middle Village, NY/Hunter
Osiecki led the No. 2 Violets to three wins to start the season in Illinois. He appeared in two matches, hitting .592 with 32 kills and 14 digs in just eight sets played. He began the season by hitting .762 with 16 kills in just 21 attempts to go along with 10 digs and an ace in a three-set win over Illinois Institute of Technology Friday. On Sunday, Osiecki slammed 16 more kills with four digs, three assists and an ace in a five-set win over No. 18 North Central College.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Braeden Baker, MIT, Fr., OH, Phoenix, AZ/Sandra Day O’Connor
Baker collected 26 kills with a .365 hitting percentage while helping lead the Engineers to two wins in his first collegiate action on Saturday. He finished with eight kills and a .467 hitting percentage in a three-set win over American International College and followed with 18 kills, five digs and three service aces in a four-set win over Emmanuel College.
