Bard Fights off SUNY Purchase in three close sets

PURCHASE, NY - The Bard College men's volleyball team defeated Purchase College, 3-0, in a non-conference match on Tuesday night.

Bard won the match 26-24, 25-20 and 27-25.

First year Ty McGlynn had a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs, and his seven aces were a season high. Quincy Ross had seven kills (.235), Angel Obergh had nine, and Josh Kim had 26 assists.

"It was great to see multiple players step up and get us a win," Bard coach Adam Niemczynowicz said. "Laz Panagiotounis stepped into the libero role for the first time and did a great job for us. Angel Obergh and Ty McGlynn served well, which really helped us."

Bard's season will end with a tri-match on Saturday at Elmira with Hilbert.
