Rauh, Newman Lead No. 11 St. John Fisher To Four-Set Win Over MSOE

BEREA, Ohio – Ian Rauh's 20 kills and Gavin Newman's 52 assists led the No. 11 St. John Fisher men's volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday in the Baldwin Wallace Invitational. 

Match Notes

  • The Cardinals remained undefeated (7-0) with the victory. 

  • Fisher dropped the first set 25-18 before winning the second 25-22, the third 31-29 and the fourth 25-23. 

  • The Cardinals had 59 kills and hit .305 as a team. 

  • Rauh recorded a career-high 20 kills and hit .607 in the match, while Griffin Stella had 16 kills and logged a .727 hitting percentage. Jake Baker added 14 kills. 

  • Newman, who had 49 assists in a victory over Buffalo State last weekend, tallied a career-best 52 against MSOE. He also had a match-high four service aces. 

  • Trace La Robardiere recorded a season-high 16 digs.
