LAKE WALES, FL – The St. John Fisher University men's volleyball team began its spring break slate with a split against a pair of NAIA opponents on Wednesday night, falling to Webber International in four sets before sweeping host Warner at the Turner Athletic Center.

Match 1: St. John Fisher 1, Webber International 3 

• The Cardinals won the first set 25-22 before dropping three straight sets, all of which were decided by four points or fewer. Webber International won the second set 25-21, the third 25-23 and the fourth 25-22. 

• Graduate senior Griffin Stella and junior Casey Jackson slammed 10 kills a piece. Senior Ian Rauh had nine. 

• Senior setter Gavin Newman tallied 36 assists as part of his ninth match this season with 30 or more. 

• Senior libero Trace La Robardiere tied his season high with 16 digs. 

• Stella, Jackson, Rauh and Newman recorded two blocks apiece. 

Match 2: St. John Fisher 3, Warner 0

• The Cardinals took the first set 25-16, the second 25-18 and the third 25-20, improving to 15-4 on the season. 

• Sophomore Connor Holmes tallied a career-high five kills while hitting .571 in the match. Fellow sophomore Sonepith Keoviengsamay, who registered a .500 hitting percentage, also amassed five kills. 

• Senior setter Evan Ingerick stuffed the stat sheet with 18 assists, four digs, four blocks and a service ace.
