PITTSFORD, NY – The St. John Fisher University men's volleyball team opened the 2026 season with a 3-0 win over Russell Sage College on Friday at Manning & Napier Varsity Gym.

Fisher took the first set 25-17, then followed with 25-18 and 25-19 set wins to complete the sweep.

The Cardinals out-killed Russell Sage 32-17 and posted a higher team hitting percentage in each set.

Fisher also led in aces (5-1), blocks (9-2), assists (31-16) and digs (21-15).

Gabe La Robardiere led all players with 10 kills on 12 swings, hitting .750, and added four block assists for a match-high 12.0 points.

Guillermo Perez recorded five kills on .500 hitting and finished with three block assists.

Connor Holmes totaled three kills and three block assists.

Sonepith Keoviengsamay posted three kills on .600 hitting and added three digs.

Casey Jackson contributed two kills, two block assists, and three digs off the bench.

Coleton Welter hit .667 with two kills and one solo block.

Aiden Calhoun dished out 12 assists and served one ace.
