Below are the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Players of the Week, released on March 2, 2026, for matches played from February 23 – March 1. It is the eighth UVC weekly honors release of the 2026 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Michael Spiegel, SUNY New Paltz, Jr., OPP, Webster, NY/McQuaid Jesuit
Spiegel led the Hawks to a pair of wins, a three-set sweep over UVC foe Vassar College and non-conference opponent Arcadia University. He hit .500 with 35 kills, 16 dugs, four assisted blocks and two service aces in a pair of matches. Spiegel hit .500 with 14 kills, nine digs and two aces in the three-set win over Vassar on Wednesday and added 21 kills, seven digs and three blocks, while once again hitting .500 in a four-set win over Arcadia.
CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Harry Fromberg, Hobart, Fr., OH, Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan
Fromberg had another impressive weekend for the Hobart volleyball team as it defeated St. John Fisher 3-1 in a crucial conference matchup on Saturday. In the four-set win, Fromberg put down 10 kills (.250) and added three digs, one block and one service ace. He averaged 2.5 kills per set, 0.25 service aces per set, 0.75 digs per set and 2.88 points per set. Fromberg has been a consistent force for the Statesmen in his rookie season, averaging 2.17 kills per set, 0.63 digs per set, 0.41 blocks per set and 2.46 points per set.
CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Carroll Jenkins, Vassar, Fr., OPP, Los Angeles, CA/Larchmont Charter
Jenkins helped Vassar to its first conference victory of the season against Elmira on Saturday as the first year tallied a career-high 11 kills (.647) and a career-best six total blocks in the sweep.
