2026 UVC Championship All-Tournament Team Announced, Nate Toth of MIT Named MVP

The 2026 United Volleyball Conference All-Championship team was announced on Tuesday, April 14, headlined by tournament Most Valuable Player, Nate Toth of MIT. Toth helped lead MIT to its first UVC title in program history over the weekend, as the No. 2 seed Engineers knocked off No. 3 seed NYU (ranked ninth nationally) in four sets in the semifinals and defeated top-seed and host SUNY New Paltz (ranked seventh nationally) in four sets in the championship match on April 12.

Toth, who was one of three Engineers named to the All-Championship team, hit .352 with 40 kills, 25 digs, four blocks and three service aces in the two UVC Tournament matches. Toth began the tourney by recording season-high totals of 22 kills and 18 digs with a .404 hitting percentage and three blocks in the four-set win over two-time defending league champion NYU in the semifinals. Less than 24 hours later, Toth had a match-high 18 kills, seven digs and three service aces in the UVC Championship win over New Paltz.

Toth was joined on the UVC Championship All-Tournament Team by teammates Braeden Baker and Colin Zimmerman. Baker hit .338 with 32 kills, three blocks and two service aces in the two wins, while Zimmerman averaged 13.5 assists per set during the tournament, with a season-high 59 against NYU and 49 against New Paltz.
 
Junior setter Matt Marusza and sophomore outside hitter Nikko Tenedorio from runner-up SUNY New Paltz, junior right side Noah DeLong of Hobart College and NYU junior right side Emerson Evans were also named to the 2026 UVC Championship All-Tournament Team. Marusza dished out 80 assists and added 17 digs in two matches, while Tenedorio hit .318 with 23 kills, 17 digs, six service aces and four blocks to earn his second straight UVC All-Tournament Team honor for the runner-up Hawks. DeLong led Hobart to its first UVC Tournament win in program history, while recording 20 kills, to go along with 11 digs, seven assists, five blocks and four service aces in two contests. Evans, the 2025 UVC Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player and 2026 UVC Player of the Year, hit .392 and slammed 36 kills, added 12 digs and two blocks in the two tournament matches for NYU.
