United Volleyball Conference Players of the Week – April 6, 2026

Below are the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Players of the Week, released on April 6, 2026, for matches played from March 30 – April 5. It is the 13th UVC weekly honors release of the 2026 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Armaan Desai, Vassar, Jr., MB, Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central
In two matches against top 10 nationally ranked foes, Desai recorded 33 kills while hitting .536 and added two aces and 11 total blocks (four solo) in a 2-1 week for the Brewers. Desai hit an incredible .690 while slamming 20 kills without an error and four total blocks (two solo) in a narrow five-set loss against No. 9 NYU on Wednesday before helping lead Vassar to an upset victory over No. 3 Stevens on Saturday with 13 kills (.370 hitting percentage) and seven total blocks (two solo). Desai is ranked third in the country in blocks per set at 1.16 and is 10th nationally in solo blocks with 24 which has helped the Brewers to the second-best mark in blocks per set in the country at 2.53. It is his second UVC weekly honor of the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Charlie Clifford, NYU, Fr., OH, Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West
Clifford slammed 15 kills and added 10 digs, two blocks and a service aces in a five-set win over UVC foe Vassar on Wednesday that clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming league tournament for NYU. He now has 15 matches with at least 10 kills in a match for NYU this season. It is Clifford’s second UVC weekly honor of the season.
